Cam Newton is getting the typical, Black Quarterback treatment. The closest Black quarterback who could be called a pocket passer would be Warren Moon. But, his ability to elude the rush, slips him back into the stereotypical category of "black quarterback." The game of football is evolving like all sports have when blacks are given the chance, despite the stereotype. Colleges have known for years that the best athlete should be at the quarterback position. Mike Vick has shown the NFL what a real running quarterback can really do. Every black quarterback has possessed the arm of a cannon, and speed and agility of a gazelle. If Cam can play half as good, he'd be in the middle tier of NFL quarterbacks. But if plays to his full potential, he'd be Mike Vick like. All NFL teams are looking for the next Mike Vick.
